Generally, Cryoprecipitate of the same ABO group should be transfused.
Crossmatching is not required. The patient's blood group should be tested if not already known.
Occasionally Cryoprecipitate of identical ABO may not be available and an alternative group will have to be used. Your transfusion service will select a suitable alternative.
