Cindy Flores, BSc (Biology), MD, MHID
Cindy Flores is a Medical Education Project Officer for the National Medical Education Unit at the Blood Service.
I have a background in medicine, health and international development. I was an Associate Medical Editor for a peer-reviewed medical journal and continue to be involved in the field of continuing medical education.
My role at the Blood Service involves pursuing health and medical education for stakeholders of blood, in order to further improve blood safety and transfusion practice. I coordinate the review of the transfusion clinical website—to ensure its credibility for our stakeholders.
I have an interest in developments of new learning technologies (e-learning and e-teaching) and their influence on health education. I believe that health education should be available, accessible and affordable for all.
