Mexican travel blood donation deferral removed

From 11 June 2009, The Australian Red Cross Blood Service has removed the requirement of deferring potential blood donors who have returned from Mexico in the past 14 days.

This deferral has been removed due to forther information becoming available about the severity of the outbreak in Mexico, which indicates that it is not as severe as previously thought and therefore travel to mexico poses no greater risk than travel to any other country with cases of swine flu.
