By using the iTransfuse Online Learning system, I agree to the following terms and conditions:

I acknowledge that these terms of use may be updated from time to time without prior notice, hence, it is my responsibility to revisit and review this terms of use page.

User responsibilities

I agree to be solely responsible for all activities occurring under my email address, password or account used to access the iTransfuse Online Learning system.

I agree that I am responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of my password and account, and ensuring that I exit from my account at the end of each session.

I agree to notify the Blood Service immediately in the event of any unauthorised use of any password or account or any other known or suspected breach of security.

I agree to be solely responsible for all aspects of the information that I submit in the course of registration for and using this system. The Blood Service is not responsible or liable for the loss, destruction, deletion or failure to store any user data.

The Blood Service is not liable for any loss or damage arising from my failure to comply with my responsibilities.

Copyright and Intellectual Property

I understand that education content and materials in this system is managed by the Blood Service’s National Medical Education Unit and is protected by the Copyright Act 1968.

The content and materials are the sole property of the Blood Service. I cannot use, copy, modify, publish, resell for profit, distribute or transfer any iTransfuse Online Learning content, or any copy thereof, in whole or in part, without consent of the Blood Service.

Privacy and Security

The system’s current privacy policy is available on the transfusion website, at www.transfusion.com.au/privacy, and is incorporated herein as reference.

I consent for the Blood Service to release my records to my nominated primary institution approved by the Blood Service to report on my attendance or completion of education activities within this system for the purposes of staff credentialing, continuous professional development or organisational accreditation.

I consent to receive updates and notifications of new education materials in the system.

I acknowledge that the iTransfuse Online Learning system and its related technologies may be physically hosted both in Australia and in overseas locations. My personal information will be handled within the principles of fair handling of information in a manner substantially similar to the requirements of the Privacy Amendment (Private Sector) Act 2000.

I acknowledge that there are inherent risks associated with transfer of information via the internet. I make my own assessments of the potential risks to the security of my information when making a decision as to whether or not I should use this system.

I acknowledge that the system’s disclaimer is described on the transfusion website, at www.transfusion.com.au/disclaimer, and is incorporated herein as reference.

I acknowledge that content on materials in this system are designed for the Australian practice and is relevant to Australian settings unless otherwise specified.

Reports, research and publication

I understand that my registration to this system is voluntary; and, I agree that the information that I provide may be subject to research and statistical reporting.

I agree that research data may be gathered from the reports of the iTransfuse Online System and I consent for my data to be published, provided that I cannot be identified.

Termination of use

I agree that a violation of any of the above terms may result in immediate suspension or limit access to the system.
