We’ve recently updated the Label and Component Information document for all users of blood components supplied by the Blood Service.
Version 5.5 was released 18 January 2015 and provides a list of current component codes and examples of labels on blood components to help you configure your internal system.
The update includes:
- Addition of the shelf life of each blood component
- Updated photos of the blood components, including an example of the updated Radsure label, which no longer has the operator signature and date.
